Hello! And welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop! We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”… so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think ‘easel’, ‘pop-up’, ‘gatefold’, ‘z-fold’, ‘shaped’ or 3D cards etc. The list is endless. All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold!
Halloween?!! You bet! Gotta start early! Plus, this new suite, Spooky Sweet, is just too fun to wait to use!! I just adore the specialty paper that is included with the suite! All the images on the front of this card are from the specialty paper–no stamping!!
The card is a normal size card, but when you open, it “explodes”! Well, not really, but isn’t it a cool surprise for the recipient?
For the inside explosion card, cut a square of cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Score at 2 3/4″ on each side, the do one more score from corner to corner. Easy peezy! If you have questions, please let me know!
