Fun Masking for The Paper Players

I am so excited about one specific product that is coming out in the new 2022-23 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog……….

MASKING SHEETS!

These are so fun to use, and provide such crisp results!  For this card, I die cut 3 rectangles from my masking sheet–then placed the mask on a 1/4 sheet of Basic White cardstock.  Using a blending brush, Soft Succulent ink was added.  Then, without removing the masking sheet, stamp the leaf image from Forever Ferns–also in Soft Succulent ink.

I then embossed the sentiment from the same set in White embossing powder on Soft Succulent cardstock.  Added some pearls for a special touch.   If you look close, you can tell I used the Stitched Rectangles for the die–the ink came through the stitching.  I wish it would've come through all the stitching, but it didn't.  Oh well, sometimes it just doesn't come out 100% like you planned!  🙂

The sketch for this card was the challenge at The Paper Players this week:

I really enjoy these clean and simple sketches — lots of room for embellishment, or not!!

Here are all the fun supplies used today:

  1. This is just delightful! Love the colors and the masking…I am excited about them as well, I’ve not ever used any and I am looking forward to it! Your soft, serene card is wonderful! Thanks so much for playing with my sketch this week at the Paper Players!
