Good morning!!! How is everyone? All is well here. The husband is off to work, the kids have been dropped off at school, and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet!! But, I have lots of work to do, so this will be quick!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, we met Tuesday evening to finalize the projects for the Christmas Card Camp on Sept 20. (hurry and sign up–registration ends Sept. 6!) Anyway, I had stamped up a million samples, so here are the "rejects"!!
I made this card using a layout in the September issue of Cards magazine. This is by far my favorite magazine–soooo many ideas!! The original card was a Get Well card. I liked the clean and simple layout–and voila, my card!!
Season of Joy Stamp Set
Cardstock: Whisper White, Handsome Hunter, Baroque Burgundy
Ink: Handsome Hunter
Misc: 5/8" Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon
(this card did make the "short list", but we decided it was too simple)
This card was a complete CASE from a convention display card. I'm sorry to say that I have absolutely no idea who made the original–but thanks!!!
Best Yet Hostess Set, Snow Burst Stamp Set & Canvas Background Stamp
Cardstock: Kraft, Baroque Burgundy, Creamy Caramel & Always Artichoke
Ink: Baroque Burgundy & Creamy Caramel
Misc: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-way Glue, Stampin' Sponge & Photo Corners Punch
We liked this one, too, but it was a little time-consuming! Remember–we're making 30 Christmas cards!!!
This was one of my favorites! I also copied this layout from Cards magazine! The original for this one was a card for Grandmother!
Best Yet Hostess Set
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White & Holiday Treasures Designer Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Misc: Wide and Large Oval punches, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Again, on the short list, but another card made with Riding Hood Red was chosen.
Last one for today! I loved this card, but someone else hated it!! haha!! (these meetings are interesting!! LOL!)
Snow Swirled Stamp Set
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red & Holiday Treasures Designer Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Misc: Moss Gingham Ribbon; 1 3/4" & 1" circle punches
Don't be surprised if you see these cards at a later class!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Super cute cards. I love them all.
They are ALL very pretty….but my fav is the Season of Joy one in Hunter and Burgandy. I like the simplicity and elegance of it.
