Hello! And welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop! We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”… so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think ‘easel’, ‘pop-up’, ‘gatefold’, ‘z-fold’, ‘shaped’ or 3D cards etc. The list is endless. All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold!
I found this Angled Tri-Fold card on Pinterest, and fell in love! It’s a GREAT way to show off both sides of our designer series papers! I used the Mixed Florals Stamp Set and Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper. The flowers are colored with Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Shy Shamrock and Blueberry Bushel.

The tri fold part measures 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4″ and 8″. You’ll cut at an angle from the top of 8″ score line all the way across. The cut can be as shallow or deep as you’d like!
The three cardstock panels are 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″, and the basic white layers are 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. The hardest part of this card is remembering to put glue only at the bottom of the two panels! haha!!

If you love to make cards, journals, albums etc. with creative folds and would like to participate in our monthly Funky Folds Blog Hop, you are welcome to join up through our community group on Facebook – facebook.com/groups/funkyfoldsbloghops
My card was CASE’d from Heidi — you can see her card HERE.

I love the idea of using just the DSP for the angled tri-fold card. Such a great design.

Thanks–and I can’t wait to see what you create!!
Great card for using decorative paper, which I tend to hoard if I am not careful. Thanks for sharing 🙂
