Spent about 4 hours in my studio this morning!! Had such a great time! I have several events coming up in the next few weeks, so wanted to get a jump start! And, as you all know, I love to use sketch challenges to inspire me! Well, the sketch at Just Add Ink this week was a great one! It inspired this card, using the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set:
Here's the sketch — you'll see I had to move the sentiment to the top of the card. Otherwise, it would have hidden my bicycle! 🙂
Measurements:
- Cucumber Crush: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
- Whisper White: 3 ¾” x 3 5/8” ; 3” x 5/8”
- Early espresso: 3 ¾” x 1 3/8” (need 3)
Instructions:
- Stamp tree in early espresso on Whisper white cardstock. ***Make sure you’re Whisper White cardstock is situated with the 3 ¾” side at the top!!!
- Stamp “leaves” in Cucumber Crush – I stamped 3 times, without reinking.
- Stamp grass in Cucumber crush.
- Stamp Bicycle in Going Gray, then stamp the bike “body” in Real Red.
- Now, cut your image into 3 pieces – each 1 ¼” x 3 5/8”
- Adhere the white pieces to the Early Espresso cardstock. Adhere these to the card base, starting at the left of the card.
- Stamp sentiment in real red ink. Punch banner tail using the Hexagon punch.
- Adhere to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lovely card, Tammy. The scene looks great split between the three panels & of course you couldn’t hide the bike. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

What a lovely scene you created Tammy (on our side of the world Autumn tones would be creeping in but I can imagine you are very glad to have all the green emerge after winter:). Splitting it into three only enhances it! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
Oh I love this stamp set……still on my wish list too. The panels give the appearance of a very large tree. Chantell JAI
That stamp set works perfectly with this sketch design! Great job with the challenge, I love your card. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink this week 🙂
