Good morning! And welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop! We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”… so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think ‘easel’, ‘pop-up’, ‘gatefold’, ‘z-fold’, ‘shaped’ or 3D cards etc. The list is endless. All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold!
This funky fold is fairly simple, but so cool, as the right side is a pocket for a gift card!!! The designer series paper is Full of Life–love the bright colors! Love this Arched Wishes Stamp Set! For the balloons, stamp the center balloon, then mask it off and stamp the other two! I used our awesome Masking Paper. I prefer it to post-it notes because it’s thinner, and you don’t get the “white shadow” around the masked image.
I color the balloons in with Stampin’ Blends (Granny Apple Green, Pretty in PInk & Daffodil Delight). The card base is Melon Mambo, and all the stamping is done with Melon Mambo Ink. I added some fun Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs. These are on the Last Chance list, so get them while you can!

Below you see it open. The side panel is where the gift card goes! So fun!!

Here are the measurements for the card base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 3/4″ and 7″. Easy!!
Be sure you hop all the way through–some amazing talent on this hop!!
Here are all the products used today–happy shopping!!
