Butterfly Brilliance & Watercolor!

Hi!! Over the 3 day holiday weekend, I had a lot of time to play! I love challenges, so played along with a few, but then saw a video from several years ago about watercoloring!! Well, faux watercoloring with your stamps!! So, I tried it! Here’s the final card:

To make this, I put my large Butterfly Brilliance stamp in my Stamparatus, with a large piece of Watercolor Paper. Spritz the watercolor paper, so it’s fairly wet. Then, stamp ink you stamp with your choice of Classic Inks. For this card, I used Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Starry Sky. I used Stampin’ Spots–it made it easier to put the colors where I wanted them. Now, stamp! It’s messy–here’s what it looked like:

Before stamping again in Black, you MUST let this dry completely! I set it aside and worked on the sentiment, which is from the Charming Sentiment Bundle. Heat embossed in White on Basic Black cardstock! I did cut 2 extras out, and stacked them for dimension! Once your large panel is dry, stamp in Jet Black Stazon ink. ****Just a note–leave your panel and stamp in the Stamparatus while it dries so that it will be positioned correctly to stamp the black!

It was a fun technique to try! And a bright and happy outcome!
