CAS Halloween Card!!

Good evening!!   I know it’s strange that I’m posting in the evening, but I was playing around — making a card to fit 3 challenges, and when I looked again, one of the challenges ends tonight!!   Poor planning on my part! haha!!

Anyway, I completed the card, and wanted to make sure it was posted in time!!  I’m entering it into the Perfectly CAS Challenge “Halloween”, the As You See It Challenge (for the colors), and the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge theme “Halloween”.  Wish me luck!

I started with the circle–it’s made from strips of Starry Sky, Mango Melody and Parakeet Party cardstock, then cut out with the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The ghosts (from the Oct Paper Pumpkin) were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Memento ink isn’t usually a good ink for heat embossing, but on the vellum it works because it takes so long to dry!  The sentiment is also from the Paper Pumpkin, and cut out with another of the Stylish Shapes Dies!   Very clean and simple, but so fun, don’t you think?

  1. Tammy, such a fun little card! I love it when I see Paper Pumpkin stamps being put to use. They are such a good resource and don’t get near the use they should get! I love that the ghosts on vellum take on the background colours when they overlap! Thanks for getting colourful with us at As You See It Challenges.

  2. Hi Tammy, What a great card! I love me some clean and simple and you knocked this one out of the ball park. Those sweet yet spooky ghosts popping out – adorable! Thanks for joining us at As You See It!

  3. Yes, indeed it is clean, simple and fun! And doing good clean and simple is not easy! I really like the striped circle and the ghosts on vellum are perfect. Thanks for joining in with us at As You See It Challenge.

  4. Oh wow, Tammy, GREAT job combining all these challenges! I love to see the Pumpkin out and about, too – those vellum ghosties are perfect! Love the background circle you built – such a striking color solution! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

  5. What a great way to incorporate these colours Tammy – the white space of your CAS card sets them off a treat and those vellum ghosts look properly spooky! Thanks for playing along with our colour challenge over at As You See It this week!

  6. This is so perfectly clean and simple with such a fabulously colorful design. Thank you so much for joining us at SUOChallenges.com and we hope to see you again tomorrow for our new coloring challenge.
