Hi everyone!! Welcome to my blog! It’s meant to be a fun place to hang out–I hope it is! I’ve been watching the Olympics non-stop. Those athletes amaze me–they’ve worked so hard and overcome so many obstacles–amazing!! Anyway, I’m now scrambling to get my post done for the fun challenge at Stampin’ Up! Only challenges!! Our mission is to use the below photo from the catalog as inspiration for our own card! I chose the layout for the square card at the top.
I used an old template that I had cut out using a circle die and a window sheet (it’s so easy to make your own stencils!!). I used Granny Apple Green ink and a blending brush to create the circle. Then, stamped the trees in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The tree are from the Grassy Grove stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp set. It’s embossed in White on Basic Black cardstock. I snipped the ends to create the banners.

Can’t wait to see which card you decide to use as inspiration!!

I would also like to enter this into the Addicted to CAS challenge–a theme of “Nature”

How wonderful, love the very CAS design, the color complements the tree giving a true “nature” feel. Thanks for playing along withus at Addicted to CAS!
Thank you! I love your challenges, just haven’t played in awhile!
Tammy, love the blended background and the silhouetted tree. The square card really highlights your focal image, too. So glad you shared this with us at Addicted to CAS this week
