Good morning!! There’s a fun sketch challenge at Inspire.Create this morning!! I love the simplicity of the sketch–leaves a lot of room for creativity!! Can’t wait to see how you interpret the sketch!!
For my card, I wanted to try making my own stripes!! I used the wide brush of our water painters, and Blackberry Bliss ink. I adhered the top layer to the card base using some low tack tape, and then drew the stripes. You can see on the left side how the ink “pooled” up against the top layer. Decided to go ahead and leave it as is–watercoloring isn’t supposed to be crisp, right?!! 🙂

For the flower, it’s stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then watercolored again with Blackberry Bliss and Shaded Spruce. The sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and die cut with a die from the Harvest Dies. The top layer is adhered to the card base with the Foam Adhesive Sheets–wanted to give it some sturdiness, as the card stock was trying to warp from the water used.
Here’s the sketch–check out the Inspire.Create blog for more inspiration!!
