Good morning!! I have an awesome pleated card for you today! I got the idea from a card I saw on facebook by Lesley Bullen. She was nice enough to share the instructions with me! I modified them a bit so that the finished card was 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and would fit in a regular envelope!
Measurements:
- Calypso Coral: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
- Petal Pink: 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”
- DSP: 5 ¼” x 10”, 4” x 1”
- Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼”
Instructions:
- Emboss the Petal Pink panel with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the Calypso Coral card base.
- Adhere the small strip of designer paper to the bottom of the ¼ sheet of Basic White. Adhere this to the inside of your card base.
- For the 10” x 5 ¼” DSP:
- Score on the long side at 1’’, 1½’’, 2½’’, 3’’, 4’’, 4½’’, 5½’’, 6’’, 7’’, 7½’’, 8½’’, 9’’.
- On the long side make a pencil mark at 4 ½’’ and 5 ½’’ top and bottom.
- On the short edge make a pencil mark at 2 1/8” and 3 1/8” top and bottom.
- Line up the marks diagonally on trimmer and cut each corner off.
- Fold according to which side of paper you want to display. Valley fold on inch score line, and mountain fold on ½’’ score line.
- Burnish folds and attach to front of card.
- Stamp “Hello” in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink. Then, stamp two small flowers on each side of the sentiment.
- Cut out using the Fragrant Flowers dies.
- Cut out an extra of the labels, and glue behind the stamped label. This adds some thickness to the sentiment.
- Attach to the front of card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
