Fragrant Flowers Pleated Card

Good morning!! I have an awesome pleated card for you today! I got the idea from a card I saw on facebook by Lesley Bullen. She was nice enough to share the instructions with me! I modified them a bit so that the finished card was 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and would fit in a regular envelope!

Measurements:

  • Calypso Coral:  5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
  • Petal Pink:  5 3/8” x 4 1/8”
  • DSP:  5 ¼” x 10”, 4” x 1”
  • Basic White:  4” x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the Petal Pink panel with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the Calypso Coral card base.
    1. Adhere the small strip of designer paper to the bottom of the ¼ sheet of Basic White.  Adhere this to the inside of your card base.
  2. For the 10” x 5 ¼” DSP:
    1. Score on the long side at 1’’, 1½’’, 2½’’, 3’’, 4’’, 4½’’, 5½’’, 6’’, 7’’, 7½’’, 8½’’, 9’’.
    1. On the long side make a pencil mark at 4 ½’’ and 5 ½’’ top and bottom.
  3. On the short edge make a pencil mark at 2 1/8” and 3 1/8” top and bottom.
  4. Line up the marks diagonally on trimmer and cut each corner off.
  5. Fold according to which side of paper you want to display. Valley fold on inch score line, and mountain fold on ½’’ score line.
  6. Burnish folds and attach to front of card.
  7. Stamp “Hello” in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink.  Then, stamp two small flowers on each side of the sentiment.
    1. Cut out using the Fragrant Flowers dies.
    1. Cut out an extra of the labels, and glue behind the stamped label.  This adds some thickness to the sentiment.
  8. Attach to the front of card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card. I have not tried this fold, but you have inspired me to try it.
