Happy Monday! It’s so nice having a three day weekend! Great weekend for crafting!!
I have followed the Flower Challenge Blog for quite awhile, but haven’t played along as often as I would like! But, I took time this weekend and made a point of making this card for their current challenge, “use a sentiment”! Oh, and it’s their 6th birthday, so Happy Birthday to them!
I stamped the large floral image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, to create a background. The flowers are colored with the Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends. The background is the light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I also stamped a smaller image on a scrap of Basic White, and die cut it and the leaves. (the leaves are colored with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends). The sentiment is embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock. To put it all together, I started with a circle of vellum as the “base”–to anchor all the elements. I love it!! Hope you do, too!
