That’s our theme at Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges–Hip to be Square! Head on over and play along!!
I went with a square card (4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″) with more squares! (I’m really “hip”!! haha!). This is a new stamp set coming out in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog, called Translucent Florals. It’s a pretty set, with coordinating dies!
Colors used are Berry Burst, Poppy Parade and Garden Green. The card base (Berry Burst) is 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. On a 4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, mask off a square with masking paper, and then added Garden Green Ink with a blending brush. I wanted a darker square, so I added a of ink! I stamped four flowers, then cut them out with the Stylish Shapes Dies. They are attached to the masked square using Stampin’ dimensionals. The Happy Birthday is also cut out with the Stylish Dies and adhered with Liquid Glue.
