Good morning, and happy Monday! I have a bright and cheerful card for you today featuring the Sending Smiles Stamp Set! The layout is based on the great sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch!
To make the center “blank” space, I simply cut a 1″ strip of masking paper, and centered it across the piece of Basic White cardstock. Then, I stamped the flowers using Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide. These are all part of the outgoing In Colors–only available through April 30th. (while supplies last, of course!). Once I was finished stamping both the top and bottom, the masking paper was removed. I used a ruler and the Parakeet Party Stampin’ Write Marker to draw the lines–this helps it look crisper. I stamped the small sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The “sending” is embossed in white on Tahitian Tide cardstock, then cut out using the coordinating die. The card is finished off with the In Color Pearls!
How clever to use that masking paper for your center panel! And the “border” done with the marker is ingenious too! Love the use of the retiring colors, very bright & cheerful!
