Shadow Box Card for Funky Folds Blog Hop!

Good morning! And welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop! We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”… so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think ‘easel’, ‘pop-up’, ‘gatefold’, ‘z-fold’, ‘shaped’ or 3D cards etc. The list is endless. All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold and I’ve made a Inside Shadow Box Card featuring the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle — a new bundle coming in September in the 2024 Stampin’ Up! Sept – Dec Catalog!

It looks like a “normal” card from the front…………..

And then you open it, and it “pops up” into a shadow box!

The measurements for the two main pieces are:

Gray Granite: 8″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

Garden Green: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 1/2″, 4 1/4″ & 4 3/4″

You can see how it’s put together in the above picture. I used a piece of window sheet behind the die cut panel–just to give it a bit of stability, but it’s not a requirement!

I want to thank Leilani for the inspiration — she gave my husband a super cool card using this fold and the Adventurous Sky Bundle! Loved it, and had to copy it!!
