Great challenge at Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges today!! Use up those scraps!! You know you have them, and you know you need to use them! So, go have some fun, then share with us HERE!!
I’m also entering this in the As You See It Challenge of Spring cleaning! (using up our scrap stash)!
I recently held a stamp camp with fellow demonstrator, Leilani. We made a gift bag with 4 notecards using this awesome 6×6 designer paper, Country Gingham! So, there were a bajillion strips of this paper left over!! I added some Adhesive paper to a piece of white cardstock, then started laying them out! It’s super easy to do! No plan in mind when I started–just kept laying down strips! Hardest part is making sure they’re right next to each other, with no “gaps”! Then, I added the sentiment, stamped in Sweet Sorbet classic Ink! Sentiment is from the Around the Bend Stamp Set!
We all have these strips in our scraps box that we don’t toss Tammy and this is such a great way to use them up! It works with any colours/pattern too. I often use them on the inside of my cards, but I’ll definitely be following your lead when I have a job lot. Thanks for playing along with us over at As you See It Challenge!
Thank you, Joanne!!!
Great idea for those small strips, Tammy! It looks like a quilt card! Thanks for spring cleaning with us at As You See It Challenges!
Thanks, Heather! I have sooooo many!! haha!
Love this Tammy – I am so in awe of super cute scrappy little layouts like this! And who wouldn’t want to hang on to these yummy gingham scraps?? Beautiful! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!
These scraps are super cute!! Love the gingham paper! Thank you for the kind words!!
It’s a lovely card and is perfect for both challenges. I like the patchwork feel of this card, using up the paper scraps just as quilts use up the fabric scraps. Thanks for joining us at As You See It.
Thank you,Jan! I hadn’t thought of quilts, but you’re right–there is a quilt feel to it!!
This is stunning! You have way more patience than I!
It was actually fun! and, not too much time! Thanks!!
