Watercolor & Translucent Florals

Good morning! I’m so glad you stopped by! I have a really fun card to share with you–using the leaves from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set, and a sentiment rom Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set.

This was created for the current challenge at Less is More--it’s a color challenge! Pink, White and Blue! I started with a sheet of watercolor paper, and masked off a small section at the bottom of the paper. I added some water, then added drops of re-inkers–Melon Mambo and Azure Afternoon. I used my heat tool to speed up the drying processed, then removed the masking paper. The leaves were then stamped using the Azure Afternoon Ink pad. To soften the leaves, I “painted” over them using a water painter and just water. The ink is waterbased, so spread easily. Pulled out the Stamparatus to stamp my sentiment–needed to stamp it 2-3 times to get a good crisp image. Once it was all dry and set, I adhered the watercolor panel to a Basic White Thick card base!

Head on over to the Less is More Blog, and play along! Would love to see what you create!
