Hi! I’ve had such a nice afternoon! Only had to work 4 hours today, then went and had brunch with my oldest son–always nice to spend time with our adult kids, huh?!! Then, the rest of the afternoon was spent in my stamp room! There are so many great challenges out there! I decided to combine two to create this card: Just Add Ink #622, which was to “Choose Two: Friend, Foliage, Masking”, and TGIF Challenge #387, “Cut it Out”.
I cut strips from several different greens (Mossy Meadow, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Soft Suede and Soft Succulent). Each strip is 1/4″. Glue the strips side by side on a piece of copy paper (you want to use thin paper as your base, so it won’t be too thick to cut out the die!). Then, I cut out the leaves using the Aspen Tree dies.
For the background, I used a retired Decorative Mask (Pattern Party). I used my blending brush to add some Soft Suede to the smaller panel of Very Vanilla. Then, added my leaves, and the sentiment (from the Cottage Wreaths set). I really like the way it turned out!!
