Good morning!! The challenge at Less is More this week is a fun color challenge! Aquamarine and Black. Love these two colors together–so striking!!
For my card, I cut strips of masking paper–1″ for the outside, then 1/4″ for the inside. Lay down your strips along the outside edges of your cardstock panel–this creates a square. Then, lay down two 1/4″ strips–one vertically, one horizontally. This will create your four little boxes! I used my small blending brush to add Bermuda Bay ink. I added quite a bit, until is was the shade I was going for! (my card is a 4 1/4″ square, and the layered panel is a 4″ square)
I stamped the “hello” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I did use my Stamparatus–I wanted to be able to stamp it multiple times to get a nice dark impression. Then, I cut out two of the branches, and glued them in a stack, and placed over my blended squares. I love how it came out!
Head on over to the Less is More blog for even more awesome inspiration! And, don’t forget to play along!!
