Playing in the Rain for CC&S

I have had so much fun as the guest designer at CAS Colours & Sketches!! But, all good things must come to an end! This is my last post as guest designer! Thank you so much for having me!

This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge–and what a fun one!! I pulled out my Rain or Shine Suite and had some fun with the umbrella!!!

I stamped and colored in five umbrellas, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I wanted them to “pop” on the card front, so also cut three umbrellas from each of the colors of card stock–stacked them all together!! See pic below to better understand what I’m trying to explain! The colors are Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide, Highland Heather and Polished Pink.

I am so happy with the way this card turned out! It took me forever to cut out and glue those umbrellas together, but i think it was worth it in the end!!

I am also entering this in the Colorful Options for March. Their theme is Green, but you can also enter a Rainbow Inspired project–this card is definitely rainbow inspired!!

  1. Adorable CAS card! Love the rainbow of colored umbrellas and background embossing. Stacking the really gives dimension to the design along with the rain drops. Thanks for sharing at Colorful Options March Challenge.

  2. I love this card so much Tammy – those colourful umbrellas against the embossed background are perfect! I think I loved your trick for stacking them with the coloured layer behind even more – genius, I’m definitely going to borrow that idea! Thank you for being a wonderful CC&S guest designer – we’ve loved having you!
