Quiet Meadow, Blended Background!

Good morning!  This morning's card uses several techniques–using a decorative mask, die stacking, and blending inks!  Enjoy!!

Augsc5

Measurements:

  • Basic White Thick:  8 1/2โ€ x 5 1/2โ€, scored at 4 1/4โ€
  • Basic Black:  3 1/4โ€ x 4 7/8โ€;  4โ€ x 5โ€ (to cut 3 blooms)
  • Basic White:  3 1/8โ€ x 4 3/4โ€;  Scrap for sentiment

Instructions:

  1. Fold your card base and adhere the 3 1/4โ€ x 4 7/8โ€ piece of Basic Black cardstock to the front.  Set aside.
  2. Align the plaid decorative mask over the Basic White panel.  Use washi tape or painters tape on the back of the white cardstock to hold the mask in place.  Flip over.
  3. Using a blending brush, apply Granny Apple Green ink to the bottom third of the panel.  Repeat with the Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide inks.  Be sure you blend the different colors together so there arenโ€™t โ€œharshโ€ lines in between.
  4. Remove mask, and adhere to Basic Black mat.
  5. From the 4โ€ x 5โ€ panel of Basic Black, cut 3 blooms.   Glue them together to form a stack, using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
  6. Adhere this to the front of your card.
  7. Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and cut out using the coordinating die.  Adhere this over your bloom, using Stampinโ€™ Dimensionals.
  8. Add 3 iridescent Pearls to the front of the card!
